Publish 46: Sinister Preparations

All publishes will be numbered from now on. There were 19 in 2020 and 26 in 2021, making this Publish 46.

  • Scribes can now craft exceptional Spellbooks with slayer properties on them.

  • Power Scroll Binders can now be crafted by scribes with at least 95 skill. The binders can be used to combine lower lever Power Scrolls (105, 110, and 115) to make a more powerful version of the scroll.

  • Abandoned pets will no longer automatically go wild from losing loyalty over time. When returning to rescue an abandoned pet, tamers are advised to feed them before attempting to command them, as pets with low or no loyalty may still turn on their masters and go wild in such a situation. Pets which are both abandoned and dead (bonded ghosts) will be auto-stabled after some time and can be claimed and resurrected later.

  • Added a message for when a pet is still hungry after being fed.

  • Animal Trainer/Stablemaster NPCs will no longer threaten to sell pets that are left in the stables (they didn’t actually do this anyway).

  • A bug which was causing pet follower slots to not be counted correctly in some situations has been fixed.

  • Further improvements and refinements of Town Crier messages and Discord bots.

  • Character creation in The Lost Lands has been disabled. Players with characters already in The Lost Lands can continue to play there as normal.

  • Skills can no longer be trained beyond 90 whilst inside the reagent/arrow/bandage free Jhelom Training Area. Players will receive a message reminding them of this when using skills above 90 in Jhelom.

  • Powder of Translocation now has a 100% chance to drop as loot from Fire Daemons.

  • Music can now be trained beyond 120.

  • The Unholy Terror (Undead) Champion Spawn has been overhauled and made easier to balance it relative to the other spawns. Neira’s necromancy skill, strength, and bone throwing ability have also been reduced.

  • Behind the scenes enhancements to in-game help requests, bug reporting, suggestions, and abuse reporting. These improvements will allow our support team to better assist players. Please use the in-game help menu to access these services.

  • A bug which was preventing Guild Chat messages from appearing has been resolved.

  • The Shard Status page has been completely redesigned and now also features a list of recently online characters. The list is determined by when a character last logged out. Characters which are currently online will appear on the list based on their last log out time, rather than their current online status. Characters which are hidden (using the Hiding skill or Invisibility spell) will have their details hidden on the list. The list shows up to 100 characters at once.

  • Many more miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.
